Microneedling with plasma

FAQ's

During Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Microneedling, a vial of the patient’s blood is extracted from their arm. Following this, the blood is entered into a centrifuge, separating the plasma from the red and white blood cells.

The remaining plasma contains high volumes of platelets, which are the part of the blood responsible for “growth factors.” As such, the plasma is then injected into the face, either through microneedling, or with a fine syringe

For a minimum of 5 hours after the PRP has been applied to your skin, do NOT: wash your skin, expose the treated area/s to direct high heat, or engage in activities that will get you wet or cause you to sweat

The microneedling PRP facial procedure requires very little blood, with only 10cc of blood required to complete.

PRP Microneedling came to be known as the “vampire facial” when social media icons such as Kim Kardashian and Bar Rafaela posted photos of themselves following the procedure with shocking amounts of blood on their faces.

While the image of a bloody face may appear disturbing to some, there is actually no pain or danger involved in the so-called “Vampire Facial” at all. When discussing PRP microneedling at Rejuven8 Medical, we prefer to avoid using such colorful terminology to describe the procedure in favor of it’s correct medical name: the Platelet Rich Plasma Facial.

we pride ourselves on providing a practically painless PRP microneedling procedure to our clients. And for patients concerned about any discomfort, topical anesthetic is available.
