What medications are used for weight loss?

we offer appetite suppressant, wegovy and saxenda. Our nurse practitioner will decide on the best medication for you based on your  medical history. We offer individualized meal plans based on body fat analysis done in the office.

How many pounds should I expect to lose monthly?

On average our patients lose between 6-8 lbs per month if following the recommended meal plan and taking their medications as instructed
This is considered a normal amount of weight loss.

Can I take weight loss medications if I have high blood pressure or thyroid disease?

Yes, the provider will order the medication that is safest for you based on your current medications and medical history

What are possible side effects of the medications?

Common side effects are dry mouth, constipation, nausea/dizziness, headaches
Side effects vary depending on the type of medication that is ordered by the provider
